Lisa Sundstedt is a comedienne, writer, actress and voiceover artist. Lisa has bi-polar disorder, and speaks about the trials and triumphs of living with the illness. As an entertainer, bi-polar disorder has affected her career and personal relationships. Her mission is to raise awareness and educate people about Bipolar Disorder; how to help someone when they are having an episode, how to spot symptoms, how to receive treatment, how to help yourself if you think you may be experiencing Bi-polar disorder.A speaker for Alcoholics Anonymous, Lisa began doing stand up comedy in 1995, got a development deal with Tri Star Television, performed at the Montreal Comedy Festival and did a USO Tour of Micronesia. In 1996, she created “Pretty, Funny Women” (the longest running all female comedy show in the country) She wrote on the hit TV shows “Girls Behaving Badly,” “The Chelsea Handler Show”, “Chelsea Lately”, “Denise Richards: It’s Complicated” and is currently producing comedy shows throughout LA and teaching stand up comedy to women. Lisa was at the top of her game when a bi-polar episode resulted in being fired from Chelsea Lately and forced her to get honest about her mental illness and the role drugs and alcohol played in her life.She has narrated over 25 specials for E! Entertainment. “Maxim Hot 100”, “Forbes; Outrageous Fortunes” and “Young Beautiful & Vanished” are just a few. Some of her TV appearances include “Comics Unleashed” and “Stand up in Stilettos”.
